Rain is on it's way.

Hello,
We have rain on it's way but that is ok, except the grass keeps growing and the lawnmower isn't running. Oh well such is life.
The other day I took a nice walk out back and spent some time by the creek, just being in nature. It was wonderful ! With the creek flowing by and the bird's singing it was a day to be remembered. I can't help to feel truely blessed. Poor in money but rich in way's that money cannot buy. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to see if I am dreaming or really awake.
Here are a couple picture's that I took on my walk and I will be back later.

A good day to all,
Yesterday Peggy and I went to town to the neat thrift shops and I picked up a nice(old) serving bowl and a matching suger bowl and two shirts, for fall. One is a red western shirt that I think I am going to give to Peggy for her husband Vince. His work is around horses so I think he would get more out of it then I would. My foal isn't born yet, sometime in late June or July and my next one is still in the planing stage. That one will be a cross of Tenn. Walker and a Ky.Mountain horse. The stud is black with white blaze and the mare is a sorall(sp). Red with a "blonde" mane. The one I am waiting on now is from a Tenn. Walker stud, all black and it will be from one of two mares. SO I can't tell you much more til its born.
This morning I woke and there was a male Blue Bird in my Oak tree that stands right outside my windows I was able to get a couple of nice pictures of him. I got to thinking that even with the differnt problems that I have in my life I am still blessed. I have seven lovely cats, good friends and a nice place in this world. Soon I will have a couple foals,to raise from the age of 3 or 4 months old. My cousion and her husband are going to move down by me as well so all and all I can't complain.
I hope you all have a great day.

A new start,a fresh beginning.

With spring comes the promise of life, a fresh start. The redbud's and dogwood's are in bloom. Foals , calf's, and kitten's are walking about on their wobbly little legs, their cry's for Mom can be heard across the hollers and over the ridges.
And their Mom's answer. All is right with the world.
Everything is greening up and there are bud's unpon the shrub's and the tree's are unfurl their leaves. The sounds of songbirds fill the air. Soon to be nesting and bringing new life into the world, the promise of more songs to come.

Sometimes I cry

Good Morning,
Sometimes a overwhelming sense of sadness overtakes me without warning. It's like being broadside. However it is up to me how I handle it,do I embrace those feeling or do I stand back and say to myself pick your self up and move on. I guess it depends on what those feelings are and what brought them on. I allow myself to feel the pain for a while till I sort out where it came from and why, then I try to deal with it. Certain things I have no control over and I have to give them over to God. Other things I can do something about and those things I do my best to fix. And sometimes I cry.

Thinking,thinking,thinking.

Hello,
It has been a while sence last I've written. Getting settled in takes a while and I am still working at it.In the end it will all be worth it.
Behind my house is a little patch of woods,a place I go to sit and enjoy the sounds of nature.A place to relax when life's issue's grow to heavy and you need to let them go. I have a seat set up in there and I always take my camera with me. I have gotten some good pictures of birds and plants.
Soon though I will be sharing part of the woods with a foal which I will be getting around July I think. It is not born yet so I can't tell you anything more then that at this time.
Angel,Bailey and a little white cat that was a roamer and was hit by a car down the road,my neighbor and I saw her and we got a box to bury her in and named her Sunshine, they are all buried at the edge of my little patch of woods. They are on a rise and over look the rolling hills out back. A perfect resting spot for them.
I took these picture about two weeks ago.I hope you enjoy them.
